Crochet Tiny Bear Key Chain - Happy New Year !

Wishing you all another beautiful year knitted with happiness and stuffed with blessings !

Happy New Year 2015

I made this little bear key chain for a good friend. He had such an innocent look about him that he reminds me one of my pussy cats.My daughter decided to call him 'dunna'(thin one) cause he looks so thin and tiny :)

I wasn't sure if my my friend would like him,but she uses the key chain now for her house keys .It brings a smile on my face every time I see it :)

Thanks for stopping by ! Have a lovely year ahead !

Quilled Birthday Card

Little girl turned 4 recently and I was more than happy to use it as an excuse to get my quilling supplies out and get quilling again :)

I simply love Bee hive quilling, probably the easiest quilling style, but simply the  best.

So there's the simple quilled card for my little girl who loves pink.Honestly more than the quilling she was happy to receive a card with her favourite colours, pink & purple :)

Green Pastures - Oil Painitng

My paintbrush and paints looked so neglected,I haven't painted in a long time.I was waiting for summer so that I could keep the windows open and do a nice oil panting. In winter we keep the windows closed and the chemical smell from the paint and the medium just circulates inside the house. This is another attempt to improve my oil painting skills :)The painting looks better in person,as the oil paint kind of reflects light when I attempt to photograph it.....

Quilled Wall Hanging

The quilling mania continues :) I've been wanting to do a quilled project for a long time, but quilling supplies here are very expensive .The craze for quilling hasn't caught on yet here in Germany. So this time on my trip to India,I loaded myself with a lot of quilling supplies.I visited a good old shop in one of the small lanes in Purasawalkam,Chennai  where I remember hunting for thermocol and charts back in my school days.I was surprised to find the shop still very much the same but filled with crafting stuff of every possible kind.It did take a long time to finish the wall hanging, but the end product was worth the effort.

Quilling these little bugs was very interesting !Though I gave up trying to stick a wing on the Honey bee !

The lady bug is my favourite :)

Framing it was yet another Challenge !
